Wrapping Up The Term!

Our second unit of inquiry ended on a high note last week, with two guest speakers visiting and bringing along some very special guests.

On Monday, the children met with an organic farmer, his ducklings and chicks, and some young okra plants. We learned about the differences between ducks and chickens, and got some plants to take care of at home.

On Tuesday, we met a veterinarian, who also happens to be Cesc’s aunt. She brought along two beautiful dogs, and taught us a bit about what a vet does. We had a chance to brush the dogs’ teeth, brush their hair, listen to their heart beat with a stethoscope, and check their ears and eyes. We also looked at some x-rays, and some children took a turn walking the dogs too.
