What a fun week we had celebrating math! The children participated in math outdoors using nature as manipulatives as well as experienced many math centers inside the classroom. On Friday we had so much creativity with dressing up to represent math!
Last week we also participated in nature walks. We discussed what is nature and what is man made and whether or not something needs to be living to be part of nature. The students were very excited to explore a new area of the campus!
This week we will follow the line of inquiry, “Changes people can make” and discuss ways people can harm or help our earth.
If you have not done so yet, please help your child to find an artifact relating to nature and bring it to school to be displayed near our Unit Of Inquiry board.
ASAP: Artifacts for “Natural Interactions” unit due at school – support your child in selecting a natural item to connect with our inquiry
