Unit of Inquiry #1 – Who We Are
We had an incredible turnout last week. Our provocation area looks great and the students are very curious about their classmates’ artifacts. We will be spending time this week and next week talking to the students about their artifacts and how they demonstrate their passions/interests.  Thank you, parents, for supporting your children’s learning.

We are still waiting for a handful of artifacts to come in. If your child hasn’t yet brought in his/her artifact, please do so as soon as possible. It is an important element in our Unit of Inquiry.

A big thank you to Ms. Kat and her students: Nadia, Prae, Nana, Henry, Itsuki, Lya, Aaryan, Kym, Tiffany, Angie, Roxy, Fah, Idea, Earth, Ivy, and Tilda, for coming to spend time with us. We look forward to our next visit.

Numeracy: Data Management in EY3
In addition to our classroom charts for swimming and library folders, students have their own Daily Data Booklets in which they are beginning to document information related to the calendar, the number of days in school, classroom jobs, and our daily attendance.

Using this booklet is one way of collecting and organizing data, and helps students begin to make predictions, recognize patterns, and interpret data.
