Thank you for all the wonderful photos that you sent for us to be able to have these class discussions.

A big THANK YOU to Laila’s abuelo (grandfather) who came to visit us and read us a story written by Mexican author, Yuyi Morales.

61rcDTGeoLL._SY403_BO1,204,203,200_Rosie’s walk around the farmyard, pursued by the hungry but clumsy fox, has become a beacon in the world of children’s picture books, an ever-popular classic which generations have enjoyed. Children love the humour of this near-wordless story. One disaster after another befalls the poor fox while Rosie goes on her way, supremely unaware of the danger behind her. [Amazon.UK]

Rosie’s Walk, a story we have been reading in class, gives students the opportunity to practice retelling a simple story, while beginning to understand how to use position words such as across, around, over, past, through, and under.
