Dear EY1 community,
It’s been another exciting week in EY1! The children have adjusted remarkably to the new hybrid schedule and showed great enthusiasm towards their second week of in-school learning. We also had a wonderful time celebrating Loy Krathong this week and the children were invited to dress up in traditional Thai costumes.

We also welcomed Ms Annie to EY1 this week who is our new classroom Nanny. She is a very kind, gentle person and is wonderful with the children. She is from Samutprakarn province and she has over 15 years experience of working with this age group. She loves the colour pink, cats and her favourite food is noodles! We feel very lucky to have her as part of the EY1 Team this year.
We continued with our remote learning with Small Group Calls, PE, and Music throughout the week. For our WACKY WEDNESDAY call on Wednesday, we inquired into the History of Loy Krathong and Ms Ran led us in some traditional Thai dancing. Our Owl friends helped us with our daily check-ins too at home AND at school!

The EY1’s were perfect examples of Inspiring individuals and Nurturing Passion in Ourselves and Others as they engaged in our Art activities this week. They all displayed their individuality and creativity when creating their Owls and Krathongs as they carefully made choices on what colours and resources they would like to use to display their unique personalities!

We want to say a big thank you to all of the families that took the time to fill out the survey we sent out last week. It was wonderful to see from your perspective how well your child transitioned and how prepared you felt as parents. The results were overwhelmingly positive with over 93% saying they felt very prepared. The children have settled into their new learning environments and hybrid model amazingly well and that all comes down to you as parents supporting them through this exciting yet nerve racking experience. Thank you again for your continued support!
Thank you for all your amazing support as the children made their transition to school. We are so thankful for our continued support and partnership and it has been so nice getting that face-to-face contact with all of you too!
Happy Loy Krathong day and we hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Best,
EY1 team
