Week of 13th – 17th September

Dear EY3 Children and Families,

Children had lots of fun learning this week!

This past week we continued to inquire into our current Unit of Inquiry linked to ‘Community Relationships’. We introduced the idea of responsibility in our morning meetings. We discussed the importance of responsibility and linked this to the EY3 Essential Agreements. Students enjoyed learning about different people in the communities that we are part of and explored that everyone has responsibilities as members of those communities. They read a book on Epic linked to responsibility and reflected on how they are responsible at home and at school.

In maths, students explored counting and forming numbers. They used their creativity and thinking skills to paint or draw around their hands. Then they counted how many fingers they had and wrote the corresponding numbers.

In language, students sent messages to their friends or family. They used a combination of pictures, letters, and words. It was lovely to see the caring messages they thought of which they sent to their loved ones.

Parent Coffee Morning:

We were happy to see so many parents at the Parent Coffee Morning on Tuesday. It was great to read some fun facts about you and we hope that you enjoyed the meeting. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the teachers through email or on Seesaw.
