Last week was a short week, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a FUN week.
We tuned in to our new UOI – How the World Works – by doing different experiments in each classroom. The students rotated between the classes over the three days last week and began finding out what the scientific process looks like.
In G2A, we observed three different balloons and wrote down our observations and hypotheses about what was in each balloon. (Spoiler Alert – one balloon had air, one had water, and one had gas).
In G2B, we took the magical powder that help diapers become absorbent and observed how matter changes state.
In G2C, we made our own lava lamps!
We also continued with our goals setting and personal reflections as we prepared for our upcoming conference.
This week, we will begin tuning into measurement, procedural writing, and finding out more about the scientific process.
