We hope everyone enjoyed our 4-day week, culminating with some some very fun Halloween activities created by our G5 students.
This week, we continued talking about students’ rights and shifted the focus to what responsibilities that children have to ensure that their rights are being met. We had some very thoughtful responses and excellent class discussions.
In math, we continued learning about different addition and subtraction strategies. This week we focused on using the number line to jump to the correct answer. After developing a strong foundation with these number skills, it should be easier for the students to transition to multiplication and division after the winter break.
Weekly Parent Meeting
For parents, we have a bi-weekly meeting on Wednesday mornings at 8:15am. The link will be sent out in an email as it is against policy to post it in a public forum. If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to pop-in at that time and talk to the teachers.
If you have any urgent questions or concerns, you can always email your homeroom teacher directly.
