Good afternoon G3 Parents and Families,
Wow, it’s hard to believe we are wrapping up our final days for the first term in Grade 3. At the beginning of 2020, none of us would have believed that we would still be working with the constant challenges of COVID-19. It has been a pleasure to welcome back some of the students on campus over the last few weeks and we look forward to meeting those students in Group 3. However big the challenges we have faced seem to have been, it is our students who continue to surprise us, their ability to adapt and be flexible in the ways in which they learn continue to amaze us.
This term, our students have started an academic year remotely, then transitioned into the classroom through our hybrid model whilst continuing to develop a strong community across the whole grade, regardless of the group they were in. This week has been special in taking the time to reflect and celebrate the learning journey our students have been on this term with our end of term parties either in the classroom or online. As we were unable to hold a winter concert this year, a collection for sharing of learning, from this term has been put together for your reflection and enjoyment: https://sites.google.com/kis.ac.th/kisendoftermcelebration/home
It is also essential that we take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your continued support throughout this term. Without this, much of what we have achieved this term would not have been possible, so our deep and heartfelt gratitude goes out to our G3 families and everyone at home supporting our students in their learning.
As we look ahead to the next term, we will be starting our next unit, Where we are in place and time: ‘Exploration leads to new discoveries, opportunities and understanding’ and we will be tuning into our key concepts by reflecting on personal exploration. It seems the perfect opportunity, as we head into the holidays, to keep this in mind and encourage conversations of exploration and taking photos of personal exploration of new discoveries, opportunities and understanding as this is where we will be starting in the new year.
The only other thing to add is to wish all you all a very Happy Holidays, we hope it is both restful and enjoyable, and we look forward to the new year ahead, 2o22, and whatever that may bring.
