Good afternoon G3 Parents and Families,
Tuesday morning the kids enjoyed having loads of fun taking part in the #KahootCup2022. Which was a Global Pop Culture Trivia game of Kahoot played by students from all over the world covering questions about things like movies, music, sports, superheroes and lots more. A wonderful reminder that we are all united by Pop Culture icons like Baby Shark, Black Panther and Taylor Swift. Most importantly we are more alike than we are different!
This week students were introduced to the following scientific terms below:
The students were introduced to The Ring Of Fire and were able to locate and explain why these things happen.
The students had to do some research on how volcanoes are formed by producing a fact file on their chosen volcano.
In language, students continued working on their scavenger hunt to find examples and explain the purpose of the different nonfiction features, in books and online Epic selected books. The students were also introduced to how information is organised within nonfiction books with different headings and paragraphs. Students had opportunities to arrange and come up with their own headings for various paragraphs.
This week, students continued to explore their understanding of fractions. Looking for equivalent fractions, ordering fractions on a number line and comparing them using <> symbols.
Reading this week the Students continued with another week of D.E.A.R. Students also had to complete flight checks on Raz Kids.
G3A, went to visit the DP Visual Arts Exhibition Wednesday afternoon which was a lovely ending to the day.
