Good afternoon G3 Parents and Families,
This week has been all about maths through the lens of “Math is everywhere”. It has been great to see students diving deeper into some critical thinking and problem solving. In Grade 3, We started exploring different types of lines including parallel, perpendicular and intersecting lines in our environment and how different types of lines are used for various purposes; structural, creating shapes and designing patterning. The week ended with a celebration by inviting students to come to school dressed in math, the creativity in clothing and connections to different mathematical strands and concepts has been wonderful to observe. Here are a few photos from our learning this week.
We have truly ‘hit the ground running’ since returning back to campus and last month and we are so excited to see the students grow and develop in their skills and approaches to learning in school. We thank you all once again for your ongoing support and wish you all a happy February break and look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday 21st February.

When we divide by 10, 100 and a 1000 we do the opposite and shift all the digits to the right instead.
