A wonderful turnout at the SLCs on Monday. There was a real buzz around the school with parents and family in and it was really lovely to see your children sharing their learning so confidently with you. We hope you had a fun time!
This week we have been continuing to develop our understanding of how fractions, decimals and percentages are ways of representing whole-part relationships. Students have been exploring equivalent fraction, mixed numbers, improper fractions and how to add and subtract fractions with like and unlike denominators. Next week we will be applying our fraction understandings to Listing outcomes of chance experiments involving equally likely outcomes and represent probabilities of those outcomes using fractions when students design and build their own Games of Chance.
We have also been continually adding to our Passion Websites. These websites are becoming a centrepiece for our learning within our How We Organise Ourselves unit and also a great chance to apply the skills students learnt during our How We Express Ourselves unit. They are also packed with inspirational writing and Literacy projects including some exciting “how to” instructional media!
Have a great weekend!
