It’s great to be back, full of energy and enthusiasm and with so many exciting events on the horizon!
For the first two weeks of term we will be revisiting our whole school unit of Self development engages people in meaningful action. This will involve students (and teachers) reflecting against their personal goals that they chose at the start of the year. Have we made progress? Have we made a difference? Have we hit a brick wall? Is this something that could inspire my exhibition?
Yes, you guessed it, exhibition is not far away! We will be kicking off the unit on January 21st and we’d like to cordially invite you to a Coffee Morning on Friday January 18th at 8am in the Primary AP room. On the agenda will be:
- How to support your child during the Exhibition unit of inquiry
- The Residential trip updates
- Bringing in a personal device to support learning during the Exhibition (hosted by Dr Puk)
In Maths over the coming weeks we will be investigating how fractions, decimal fractions and percentages are ways of representing whole-part relationships. It’s always great to see learning extended at home and fractions give a great opportunity to, amongst other things, eat pizza and do some cake baking! Percentages is a great way to explore the UN Sustainable Development goals such as with the mind boggling statistic that 11% of the world’s population lives in extreme poverty.
See you on the 18th!
