The atmosphere is heating up in Grade 5 as the students have realised that their exhibition is getting closer. The padlets, for parents to view, will go live on Wednesday 10th March at 10am and the face to face exhibition for other year groups will also start that morning.

As such, the students have been working diligently to complete their research based upon the lines of inquiry they created, produce a piece of writing and a graph which reflects their learning and produce both a piece of art which will raise awareness of their issue and make a multi media presentation which summarises their learning. As well as take action to show that their learning has had an affect on their perspectives.

There is a great deal to do! This is a wonderful time to observe the students demonstrating the learner profile attributes, being wonderful communicators, inquirers and risk takers taking on tasks they have never done before whilst showing themselves to be open-minded and principled in their dealings with others.

This week the students will be finalising their Padlet presentations and creating a summarising video to explain their learning.

A message from Dior and June G5A

Please click on the link below to our website about Sustainable cities and water sanitation. This is our exhibition action and we would love to get your feedback on this. Many thanks.

Grade 5 Parent Conferences

These conferences will take place online after the Grade 5 exhibition due to take place on 10th, 11th March so that teachers and students can reflect on this process.

We are still striving to stay safe so we  need to follow the guidelines below, please encourage your child to remember and take action on these important safety protocols.

  1. Masks will be worn at all times apart from when eating or drinking. This includes P.E lessons and when playing on the playground, including football.  Any child not wearing their mask properly after several warnings will be isolated, at playtimes and in the classroom, to avoid them creating a risk to others.
  2. Social distancing will happen.  Danger zones- include walking too closely on the stairs or using the incorrect stairway.
  3. Frequent hand sanitizing will take place. Sharing of equipment will be avoided but any which is shared will be cleaned between use. Parents, please sanitize your hands when picking up your child at the end of the day.
  4. Swimming will not happen for the first few weeks an extra P.E session will take its place.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you stay safe and healthy.
