We are so proud of the Grade 5’s they have faced difficult challenges including remote learning, exhibition and graduation and are still smiling and enjoying their learning. We wish them success next year as they head onto new adventures in the MYP and in some cases in other countries.

We would also like to thank you as parents  for your many gifts and most importantly your support throughout the year this has been much appreciated by us all.

MYP School Council Elections

The room was tense with anticipation as nine members of Grade 5 presented their speeches asking for a vote to allow them to become the next Grade 6  School council representatives. All of those who volunteered should be congratulated for being risk takers. Well done to Della, Cream, Un, Charlie, BewBew,Arya, Ani and Andrien. After a count and recount we can announce that those students who gained the most votes and who will become the Grade 6 representatives are (drum roll please) Charlie, Ani and Godd. Congratulations to them all.

Grade 5 party

The Grade 5’s had a chill time on Wednesday watching movies and playing games whilst enjoying the ample donations of food. Thank you so much for sending this in.

Unit of inquiry

The identity unit was completed this week with the students reflecting on what they had learnt during the unit and how they could improve their investigation skills in the future.

Literacy

All classes have now completed their magazines and what an interesting read they are please take a look below.

We would remind the students that daily reading during the summer will keep their minds active as well as give them hours of entertainment. Sora will be open to them.

Numeracy

Coordinates were the final area of study this week with the students creating problems for each to solve. We would recommend that the students keep working on their IXL recommended objectives throughout the summer to keep their skills  current.
