Grade 2 Music

Mr Chris’ days as a peripatetic music teacher are, once again, over as, from Monday, I return, with you, to the music room.
The room where the magic happens!

We have had two weeks introduction to our listening unit on twentieth century music, to which we will return later in the year, but, we can now start the way we mean to go on with a new focus as we join together, playing tuned and untuned percussion intruments to form a musical ensemble.

G2 will be performing in the holiday concert at the end of this term. Costume details will be discussed a little closer to the event.

Welcome to a new year of music making here at KIS. We have many exciting things in store and many new things to learn.
Our first unit, Inspiring Individuals, a school-wide unit, takes a look at our quality learning behaviours and how they look in the music classes.

At KIS we believe that quality learning behaviours include:

Taking ethical action.

How do we do this in the music classes?

We will be performing in the end-of-year show.
Your teachers will tell you more about what you are doing but we will be ending the show with ‘Try Eveything’ from the movie Zootopia and the KIS song which we will all sing together.
