We will return to the guitar this term so go to SeeSaw, follow the activities and let’s pick the guitar back up from right where we left it.
Here is a virtual guitar if you don’t have one at home:

Good morning.
Due to the current shift to e-learning the music classes can now be found on seesaw.
Please take the time to join in with the activities posted and follow the instructions as posted.
We may be at home but the music lingers on………Have fun!
Mr Chris
Welcome to a new year of music making here at KIS. We have many exciting things in store and many new things to learn.
Our first unit, Inspiring Individuals, a school-wide unit, takes a look at our quality learning behaviours and how they look in the music classes.
At KIS we believe that quality learning behaviours include:
Striving for understanding
Developing our passions
An inclusive and caring community
Taking ethical action.
Please use your time to learn the first of the exhibition songs, ‘You Will Be Found’.
I’m including three versions of the song, the lyric video, the backing track and a virtual choir mix. We will be trying to recreate the virtual choir video so if you would like to sing a line or two as a solo then reply to let me know.
Here they are:
Fusion music is a type of music which blends genres, forms, cultures and styles. Fusion music can take many forms from jazz-rock to east-west world music.
Here are some examples:
We’ve got the knowledge
Inspiring individuals
We’re filled with the spirit of learning
The spirit of loving, the spirit of joy and we’re blessed
We’re KIS
This is the finale to the show. Please learn it!

Hey now, hey now (hey, hey, hey, hey)
Hey now (hey, hey, hey, hey)

Here are three basic chords we have been learning. It’s great that we can all play them successfully so now we have to work on the changes, how we transition between the chords.
Successful changes are just a matter of repetition, muscle memory will eventually guide your fingers to the correct positions without you having to look and think about where to place them; this means PRACTICE!
Here are the chords:
A Major
D Major
Don’t forget the cheeky thumb on the sixth string too!
E Major
Here re the songs we are preparing:
G 5A
Leaving on a jet plane.
We’ll sort out some solo parts to break the song up a bit but it important we all know the chorus AND how to play it on our guitars!
