KIS was very lucky this week to have a group of parents, teachers and students come together to present our second cultural showcase for the year: Diwali. We learned that this important Indian holiday is filled with colour and light, and we were entertained with music and dance. Some of the grades also attended a special information session where they viewed authentic artefacts and tasted yummy treats! We also viewed some of the rangoli that each grade level had created as part of the celebration. Overall it was a fantastic morning and a great way for us to deepen our understanding of the many different cultures that make up KIS!
