KIS celebrated World Math Day this year in fine style. The day began with students being asked to estimate how many candies were in the jar. Grade 5 were the closest, and were able to claim the coveted prizes of candy!
Throughout the day each grade participated in two other activities aimed at promoting logical thinking and cooperation: a giant ‘How many Triangles’ puzzle, and a Tangram Challenge where house teams worked collaboratively to create shapes using giant tangram pieces.
A huge thanks to Mr Steve and Ms Tahnee for organizing the event. The students are looking forward to next year already!
